Kat Marcus
Kat Marcus cut and colour artist, has been making Toronto fashionable and interesting since she was a youngin’. Always knowing she wanted to style hair, she has worked in film, fashion and on the cutting floor. She is forever evolving, and always brings her unique and inspiring talent to any project.
When not breaking salon stereotypes, Kat also works as a leading educator and a member of Wahl's creative team in locations around the world. She has recieved acclaim from Salon magazine, Fashion magazine and the Toronto Star, as well as a large handful of online articles. She placed top 5 in the 2007 Canadian Hairdresser of the Year Award (Contessa).
She believes in making you the sexiest you imaginable. Customizing her cuts, colours and extenions, for not only your face but your lifestyle, she matches your hair to your level of maintenance without compromising your personal style. She isn't afraid of curly hair, and she is borderline obsessed with colour corrections and platinum blonde (not the band). Currently Kat can be found dividing her time in Toronto between hair shows, airport lounges, karaoke bars and her second home, The Saloon. She likes the 'idea' of horseback riding and men with moustaches, but above all her one true love is hair.
Daina Schreiber
Daina Schrieber has been helping people love their hair for over a decade, but her passion for hair began when she was just a little girl. After finding out the hard way that Barbie’s hair doesn’t grow back, Daina quickly moved on to family and friends, and it was not long before she began to have a genuine love affair with hair.
To perfect her craft, Daina studied the hair philosophies of Tony & Guy, Vidal Sasson, Goldwell and L’Oreal, and over the years has tirelessly striven to master the art of hair. Daina likes to think of styling as collaboration, and a true collaboration means taking the time to really listen, to understand what your goals are and offer the best possible way to achieve them.
During her years as a stylist, Daina has come to understand great hair isn’t about chasing trends; hair should be as individual as the person it belongs to. Daina strives to give you hair that’s beautiful; but having beautiful hair doesn’t mean it needs to be hard to maintain.
The Saloon has been a labour of love for Daina, and she works hard to create a unique and comfortable atmosphere that offers a more personal experience than the typical hair salon. Daina specializes in ladies and men’s cuts, colour, colour corrections, up-styles, vintage hairdos, hair-extensions, wedding, fashion hair, and men’s grooming. Daina also provides customized hair services for a number of television and music personalities, and is available for consultations and private hair appointments.
Ronnie Dag
Ronnie dag has had a lifelong obsession with hair, makeup and fashion.
Having Rapunzel length hair until the age of 9, she was the fancy girl at school with bridal worthy updo's and Taffeta dresses. Loving styling from a young age, it was a calling to play dress- up professionally.
Having been in the industry for nearly a decade, Ronnie has studied various cutting, color and styling techniques, namely with Vidal Sassoon, L'oreal, Schwarzkopf. She is continually evolving, learning and always thirsty for more knowledge and inspiration. She has co founded a mobile hair and makeup company called SheShe Beauty, which specializes in bridal and event hair and makeup, as well as editorial and fashion work. Her most recent accolades are Director of Training for Blo Blowdry Bar, North America's first Blowdry bar,'and Level 1 Art Team Member for Unite Eurotherapy. Education coupled with a healthy dose of style are Ronnie's top priorities and are what drive her work ethic.
"Whenever I do a cut, color or just a style, I take into account what my client is saying to me, what their lifestyle is, how they envision themselves. It's really a collaboration of the two of us to come up with the right look." Ronnie is a stylist for the people, believing that listening rather than imposing is the key to ensuring maximum success. She specializes in women's cuts and color "babe hair" being her trademark, men's grooming and rockstar shags, making kids look super rad, and custom hair extensions. She loves wedding belles, fashionistas, lowbrow, high brow, and everything in between.
